Depreciation Tract, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania

The Depreciation Lands District was bounded to the south and east by the Allegheny River,
to the north by an east-west line, drawn due west from the
junction of Mahoning Creek with the Allegheny River, and to the west by the Pennsylvania border.

Although this entire tract was located within the boundaries of Allegheny County in 1790,
it is now located in five Pennsylvania counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence Counties. The northern boundary of the
Depreciation Lands District runs through Washington and Sugarcreek Twps. in Armstrong Co.,
through Donegal, Oakland, Center, Franklin, and Muddy Creek Twps. in Butler Co., through Perry Twp. in Lawrence Co.,
and then coincides in Lawrence County with the boundary between
Wayne, New Beaver, and Little Beaver Twps. to the south and Slippery Rock, Shenango, Taylor, and North Beaver Twps. to the north.
